Parent Association
The White Mountain Waldorf School has a long tradition of active parent involvement in the Parents Association, which was founded by parents as a support for the faculty and administration. The Parents Association serves as a school-wide organization to support the work of the faculty, board and administration of the school. All parents of students in the school are members of the Parents Association.
Parent Involvement:
Enrolling your child in a Waldorf School involves, to a degree, enrolling yourself too. Private education cannot exist by virtue of tuition alone; even public schools owe much to their pool of parent volunteers. So that you are not taken by surprise, our expectation of our parent community includes both volunteering and attending parent meetings.
Parent Meetings

As the curriculum benefits and uplifts your child’s awareness of the world around them, it overflows into home life. In an effort to compliment the curriculum with the home setting, we encourage you to participate in class meetings. These meetings are held to inform parents of the daily activities in the classroom, and to give you an opportunity to ask questions and to get to know one another.
Volunteering
Areas of participation include:

  • Parent run fundraisers
  • Committee membership
  • Maintenance of our school’s grounds and buildings
  • Festivals and other community activities
Festivals
These school wide events bring celebration and rhythm to the school year. Our festivals honor the seasons and the passage of time in ways many of us have never before experienced.
All-school Meetings

All parents are encouraged to attend. The meetings keep our community well-informed and help to solve problems the school faces. If you have something to say or an idea to share, it will be heard and responded to at these productive meetings.
Chances to connect into the White Mountain Waldorf School community are abound. We invite all parents to add their unique talents to our thriving community - a community dedicated toward providing an enriching environment for our children and our families.
